Things are pretty much still the same, unfortunately, but I figured if I didn’t post soon, someone would be bound to think I forgot about blogging.

I moved and am still trying to get things to settle down. Writing is…going better than it had been the last month, which is good. Not quite up to par yet, but I’m hopeful that’ll change.

Anyways, just wanted to give a quick update. Hope everything is going well for everybody! Take care and have a good day.

This weekend, Friday (10/10) and Saturday (10/11), Romance Divas will be joined by some huge names in fantasy and fantasy-romance for a workshop on what the difference really is between the two genres.

There’s a regular that frequents where I work. Well, he’s not really a ‘regular’, he’s been here twice, but still. Anyways, he just came by (yes, after 3 in the morning) and wrote down that he wanted to talk to me in 5 minutes. Of course, it’s been a long while since I’ve taken any Spanish lessons (okay, a long, long while–over 10 years) and basically, what I know in Spanish would get me beat up, kay? I lived in New Mexico for years and basically, I learned to cuss people out. Great for where I lived–bad for everyday conversations.

This is how little I remember of my Spanish lessons: It took me 10 minutes to get “hablar con un usted” translated. The bad thing? I knew what it meant. I just had a complete brain glitch. But, come on, it’s after 3 in the morning, those are acceptable, right?

And for the record, I’m not talking to anyone at 3:30 in the morning when they’re wearing only boxers and when I don’t know them. Sorry, but no.

A dog, Chai, had to have his tongue amputated because it got stuck in a toy. A toy that the company, Four Paws, seemingly refuses to recall from store shelves. The original story can be found here.

I don’t have a dog now, if I did, I would boycott their products. Period. And no, I’m not asking you to do the same if you’re a dog lover. I will ask that you take the time to read Chai’s story and look through your own house/yard to make sure this isn’t a toy you own. I also think you’ll be appalled by said company’s behavior–which is why I’m not asking you to not buy their products. I’m sure you’ll want to after reading.

Let’s see…after spending lots of money I didn’t need to spend, I finally got my site back up, only to transfer it immediately anyway, because the old host was basically robbing me. Then I spent another 3 days without a website. Why, you ask? Because, I sent emails and no one responded–or so I had thought. Here’s the deal: I have like, 3 gmail accounts for various aspects of my ever diversified *cough* life, and I, being the nerdy woman I am, tried making my life simple by having 2 of those emails sent directly to email number 1. Of course, this works if you CLICK THE LINK it tells you to in order to start that nifty feature. Yeah, I didn’t click it. And, I didn’t think to check that email until today. *sigh*

My boss is being a jerk, as usual. We had a little cussing match earlier when I horribly expected and asked to be left alone on the one day a freaking week I get 8 hours (yes, 8 measly hours) to myself. Why did his drunken ass bother me, you ask? Because he had no internet. Again. And even though I’ve shown him how to fix it, repeatedly, he can’t remember and insists I do it. Even at 5am. In the morning. Before the sun is out. *joy*

On to the fun stuff. I got my edits back on Linked a few days ago. About 30 pages in so far on the first rounds.

Um, Breed of Innocence is finished and now I’m onto Polishing.

I wrote a query for Breed. Finally. It only took 3-4 days and about half a dozen (lots more) rewrites. I think it’s pretty good now. I hope. And now I have only to send it off to Dream Agent. Of course, this will only happen if and when I get the guts to do it. I’ll get them soon.

Really. I will. I swears it.

Did the blogging world miss me as much as I missed it? I hope so!
